One of the most symbolic monuments of France
greatest wonder of Gothic architecture, Notre Dame is the most visited monument
in France. Its construction started in the Middle Ages to the end of the 15th
Century. You will be able to admire the magnificent stained glass, its rose
windows, and its towers at your discretion. (see below “Entrance Fees").
The square in front of the Notre Dame is point 0 kilometers, from where all French national highway distances are calculated. This has been designated a Unesco World Heritage site. The Notre Dame Cathedral is located on the Ile de la Cité, the antique cradle of the capital, and just nearby is the very picturesque Ile Saint Louis. Ile Saint Louis is one of two natural islands in the Seine River. Bridges connect both banks of the river and to the Ile de la Cité by Pont Saint Louis.
