General points

Each activity contains a complete description, with useful information on the page. That information should answer the majority of your questions. However, we have listed here answers to the most asked questions. Do not hesitate to contact us if your question does not appear here.

Are tips included or mandatory?

Tips are not included in any of the activities, they are not mandatory but always appreciated, and left to your discretion.

What are the cancellation and refund policies?

A cancellation less than 7 days before the activity date will not be refunded. If you cancel within the specified conditions, you will be refunded of the total amount of the cancelled activity, minus eventual bank or rate exchange fees.

I am a returning guest and would like to place an order, will I need to fill out again all the personal info?

You will be able to connect to your online client access before or during your order placement, and this way you won't have to fill out your personal information again. However, you will have to verify that the registered information is up to date, especially your phone number and email address.

Transfers and airport services

What are the meeting points?

At the airports: after customs and/or luggage exit, your driver will be holding a sign with your name on it

At train station: at the end of the platform and the front of the train. Don't take escalators or elevators, your driver will wait for you at the same level and be holding a sign with your name on it.

At your hotel: in the lobby, near the concierge or reception desk

At your apartment: in front of the entrance door or nearby

Is it possible to pick me up at another address, a restaurant, a shop for example?

Yes, as long as that address is located within Paris city limits. For a pick up outside of the city limits, there will be an extra cost, and the booking will need to be made by phone or email.

How long will the driver wait for me?

60 minutes is the maximum waiting time at the airports, 30 minutes at the train station or for address within Paris. If you are on a flight, your driver will check the eventual delays and waiting time will start at the actual landing time. Beyond, an extra cost will be charged, and if the driver is not informed (if you don't call us to let us know), he will not be able to wait more. No refund will be given in case of 'no-show'. If you have missed your train or flight, please contact us as soon as possible so we can do our best to rearrange the transfer, if possible.

What is the maximum luggage amount per person?

You can bring one suitcase and carry-on luggage per person

I need a chauffeured car or sedan, but I can't find the option on your website, how can I do?

You can contact us for any car disposal request. As these are personalized requests, we prefer that the client contacts us on this behalf. We can organize private chauffeur in Mercedes E class, Mercedes S class, Mercedes Viano, buses, and sometimes other sedan or minivan models. The minimum use is 4h, and we can organize full days, evenings, and night car disposals with chauffeur.

Private tours by car or walking tours

Who are the guides? What's the difference between a licensed guide and a regular guide?

For private tours by car or by foot with a licensed guide (this is indicated in the activity information), our guides hold a professional license and an official diploma in art or art history. They are allowed to guide inside museums. They will make the visits lively through stories, anecdotes, and will share their passion and knowledge with you.

For the private tours by car with a regular guide, they are driver-guides who are passionate about art, history, Paris and many other subjects, but they are not authorized to guide inside museums. However, their deep knowledge and passion for their city and job will allow you to spend an unforgettable moment.

Our guides all speak French and English fluently, some speak Spanish, German, Italian… This is upon request.

How long will the guide wait for me?

Your guide or the driver-guide will wait for you 30 minutes. Without hearing from you after this delay, he won't be able to wait any more. In any case, the tour duration will be shortened by the waiting time, and the tour will not be finished later than planned.

Are tours adapted to children?

Our guides are passionate and engaging, and know how to adapt to everyone, including young kids – they will make the visit fun, and will share anecdotes that will make your kids smile. During the reservation process, it is important for us to know the number and age of your kids, therefore we will be able to book the right guide for your group.

Is transportation included in the private tours?

It depends on the tours and is specified in the description of each activity.

For walking tours, transportation is not included, you can choose to use the metro or taxis (costs are at your expense for both options).

For tours with driver-guide, our driver will pick you up from your hotel or apartment within Paris, and will drop you back there (or to another address within Paris city limits).

Can you organize tours for more than 8 persons?

Yes, of course this is possible but only upon request, through email at contact@planningparis.com or by phone at +33 1 40 53 83 12

Why is the maximum number of persons different for each tour?

Some museums require advanced booking from a certain number of persons (usually 5 or 6). It can be difficult to get a reservation for a specified day and/or hour, especially if the reservation is made late, so in that case it is advised to contact us for any reservation request.

Are entrance tickets included?

It depends on the tours, and it's always specified in the activity information.

Can you organize tailor-made tours, that are not listed on your site?

Of course, you can send us an email with your request, and if we have an available guide with the requested knowledge, we will be happy to organize the tour for you.
